Detail Master has been the leading supplier of model car detailing accessories since 1985. Started by Dirk Johnson, the initial products were license plate frames, speaker grilles, and wiper blades. It was literally a "kitchen table" business!

Mr. Johnson sold the Detail Master line to his long time employee Shiryl Adams  in February 1998. The current owner is dedicated to continuing the history of both the outstanding product quality and excellent customer service our customers have come to expect.  Shiryl  helped establish Detail Master as the world leader in Aftermarket Modeling Accessories. Mr. Johnson will continue to remain active in the new company by doing product development and consulting for Shiryl. 

In December of 1999 Detail Master moved from Purcellville VA. to Rochester NY

Our  goal, here at Detail Master is to provide the avid model car builder with unique, high-quality, state of the art detailing accessories. In 2002 the business is still growing to provide more precise detailing product for the Detail Master line.
