Clean is the word for Jeff Underwood's Monogram Deuce roadster! Jeff smoothed the hood louvers, door handles, hinges and trim from the body before coating it with Testors Colors by Boyd Pacific Blue and Boyd's clear. The stock headlight bar was scrapped and the headlights were mounted directly to the fenders, and an Accu-Pro photo-etched Deuce grille insert was used. Jeff chose a set of Cragar SS mags instead of modern billet wheels to add a little vintage flavor to his Deuce.
Looks like the kind of ride that you'd want in your driveway!

Pat Covert has created a modelbuilding style all his own. You could call it street rods with muscle. They tend to be '60s and '70s era bodies that have been smoothed, shaved, slammed, and smokin'.
His Novastar is a perfect example. From the re-designed roadster body to the full custom interior to the color-coordinated motor crib, the Novastar has a style of it's own.
Pat relied on plenty of Detail Master, too. Notice the lighting bolt valve cover tops, billet oil breather caps, and radiator cap. In the cabin, you'll find our flocking, street rod gauges #2, and door handles.
Pat likes to reach out into uncharted territory with his customs. You'll also find him building weathered heaps, too. Soon he'll be sharing all his tips with you, since he's writing several books for model carbuilders.
There's nothing like learning from the best!

Tom Tomlinson's slick, subtle Revell '67 GTX exemplifies modern street machine styling at its best. DuPont Plum Pearl lacquer covers the smoothed body, and The Model Car Garage scripts, door locks, and photo-etched grille are utilized. Tom's unique choice of American 200-S style wheels from Monogram's 1/24 scale 57 Chevy fit the character of the model perfectly- they're traditional and contemporary at the same time!

From the Western Pennsylvania town of Indiana, Bill Brown has been regulary making the trip to Baltimore for MAMA's Boyz annual NNL show. Each year he has a road racer that is more outrageous than the one before. His latest creation is this RainX Camaro, and is quite possibly the most detailed modern 1/24 scale TransAm model around.

The best kept secret in the rarefied world of professional model car builders is probably Andy Mathews. Andy is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has specialized in modern 1/12 scale Formula 1 models.
In just a few years, Andy has progressed from building pro-street subjects in 1/24 scale, to building world class collector models.
His eye for detail is superb, and his demand for accuracy is already legendary. As an example, this Lotus is based on the 1/12 scale Tamiya kit, but the body and tires are just about the only things left from the kit. Practically everything else was recreated or replaced.
The engine block and transaxle were modified and recast in pewter, then the ribs were polished to add a finished look. Plenty of items were custom photo-etched, such as the steering wheel and various engine details.
Andy also chose Detail Master wire, hoses, and fittings to trim out this model. We're proud that Andy considers Detail Master worthy of a model of this caliber.

Check out the fine attention to detail that Peter has incorporated into this car. He truly does justice to Eddie Hill's cars.
Peter has used a lot of DETAIL MASTER on this car. Starting with the driver (resin cast by Peter himself) you'll find DM 2261 - Racing Harness and Sunglasses from DM 2380 - Interior Junk. The instrument panel are gauges DM 2300. Moving to the body of the car you'll find DM 3101 - Gas Cap, Fittings and braided line, Fuel Injection lines are DM 1151, Throttle Linkage - DM 2420 and various wires like DM 1051, 1052, 1055 and 1058. Even Peter's wife Brigetta chipped in by sewing the blower security sack! Very nice work, Thank you Peter!
